about ostra.

hello, i’m mindy.

i’m a multi-disciplinary artist based in new york, by way of northern california and colorado.

my professional mediums span photography, interiors and ux/ui design, and i paint, draw, and use anything else i can make with my hands in my spare time.

i get the most fulfillment out of work that feels like it’s breaking rules. asymmetry, dramatic negative space, unusual compositions, expired film, modernizing an object from another time.

at my creative studio, Ostra, i work with sustainable materials, found objects, and brands who care as much about how things are made as what they look like.

currently on my mind the way language shapes a culture. as i reunite with the French language, my heart skips a beat every time I learn the ways food, animals, and nature are used to speak of everyday things.
